Ewoks customs by darth_sidious
I thought I'd share some of my Ewoks customs from the made-for-tv movies, they have been a customizing focus of mine:
Cindel Towani (Ewok Adventures):
Charal (Ewok Adventures):
Teek (Ewok Adventures)
(made years ago before Hasbro announced a figure):
Chief Chirpa (Ewoks cartoon):
Chukha Trok (Ewok Adventures):
Noa Briqualon (Ewok Adventures):
Group shot with Hasbro's Teek:

AAAA! I LOVE your work. Especially Teek, Noah, Charal and Cindel. We really need these figures in my opinion. your Teek almost looks better than the actual Hasbro figure, like if Teek were to be animated, he'd look like your sculpt. Your cindel is cute. how'd you go about customizing her and Noah and Charal? I've seen your customs before I think on The Custom Alliance. I like your Chukha-Trok.

Thanks - customizing figures from these movies has been my focus - mostly because I doubt Hasbro will ever make them (sadly). For Charal, Cindel, and Noa - they all have some sculpted pieces and I incorporated softgoods into each figure. I cut the fabric myself and tried to make it look as realistic as possible. It certainly takes some practice though, because I had no experience using fabric before I started customizing.
Chukha-Trok is in the process of being updated, I'm giving him a softgoods hood and making a necklace for him - I'll post it here when I am done. I am also planning on making Cindel's annoying brother, Mace - but I am still gathering the right parts to make him.

I have always liked you Cindel figure. I don't think Hasbro could make one any better than that! I hope they do make one sometime though.
Re: Ewoks customs by darth_sidious
Thanks, she's one of my favorite customs, but I do hope Hasbro makes her as well. If I am able to find the parts, I want to make her outfit from the second movie as well!

I upgraded my Chuhka-Trok custom, so I thought I'd post a new picture - I wanted to try out softgoods for the hood, instead of plastic, and I think it turned out pretty well. I also included his jaw bone necklace this time, for more added detail:
Mace Towani will hopefully be next if I can get all the parts I need!

Wow! That was already a pretty cool looking custom but the softgoods hood is a huge improvement and looks great (and normally I prefer plastic)!

Wow, Chukha-Trok looks really good! Nice job on the hood! How did you do it?
Re: Ewoks customs by darth_sidious
Thanks guys - the hood took awhile to make, a lot of cutting, pulling, and resizing to get it just right. Softgoods can be useful on customs, but they can be equally difficult to produce.

I like the new and improved C-Trok! Soft good can indeed be difficult to produce. I wanna make Kaink a detailed leather robe complete with ties and her crystals. When I have time...

Hey, thanks - its always great to see others that like customs from the Ewoks movies. I do have more planned - a second version of Cindel as well as her brother Mace, I'm just trying to track down the proper parts.

Re: Ewoks customs by darth_sidious
I got around to completing my Mace Towani figure, which is long overdue, seeing as I made Cindel years ago! Since Hasbro released Teek and a new Wicket is on the way, I think I'll make another version of Cindel (based on the second movie) and maybe a Kaink if Hasbro doesnt resculpt their version. Here is how he turned out:

Oh wow! He looks really good. you even made the little aim n' flame fire lighter thing he uses to make Cindel a fire. I like his outfit and the sculpt on the head. Yeah, I got to thinking about that today: They've made Teek, a form (?) of Kaink, even a form (meh) of Widdle, now they're making that new Wicket. And Chukha-Trok and Kneesaa are coming soon. I want a Cindel and Mace too. Anyway, Mace looks cool.

I wanted to make something that no one has ever tried before (to my knowledge) - its what a Dulok might look like in realistic form - specifically King Gorneesh. Here is how he turned out, along with a shot of the original Kenner figure next to him:

AAAAH! That is a great looking custom! You used the Mezco Bigfoot/Sasquatch! Teriffic idea. I'd always wanted to custom that figure into another one as well. In my case I thought I'd make a to scale Phlog for my mico machione Ewoks to fight, but I like the idea of it becoming a dulok better. Really looks like him too. Nice addition of Leektar's skull piece as well. I need to make a Dulok now. Looks good, congrats.

Re: Ewoks customs by darth_sidious
Glad you guys like it - I tried to give it the overall look and feel of Gorneesh, without making it look like a cartoon figure. The details took awhile to slap together, but I think the time was worth it, because I've always wanted a realistic Dulok. I think for my next custom project I'll make another Ewok from the show that never received a figure!

Re: Ewoks customs by darth_sidious
I really enjoyed making King Gorneesh, so last night I decided to make another cartoon Ewok in realistic form - something Hasbro will probably never make - Asha. Asha and Kneesaa are sisters in the animated series, and she is one of very few Ewoks that has red fur:

Re: Ewoks customs by darth_sidious
AAASSSHHHAAA!! The Red Ghost! Epic upon epic. I always wanted a figure of her. VERY well done. I'm inspired now. I'm going to make her too, because chances of us ever seeing her are almost nonexistant. Please tell me, did you use Padme's cloak from the battle on Illum figure for asha's cloak? What are the fangs made out of?
She is such a cool character. Who says all Ewoks were furry little wimps? The duloks learned well that "I am Asha, sister of Kneesaa, daughter of the great Chief Chirpa!" A very nicely rendered custom, one of your personal best.By the way, I've thought about how one could also customize a giant Korina for her to ride.

She is such a great character - I would have loved to see her get a figure as well - even in the Comics Spain line. Thanks for the comments - I'm glad it inspired you to make one!
I did indeed use Padme's cloak, but you're only seeing about 50% of it. First, I removed the hood - stitch by stitch, and then made it shorter to fit Asha - after that I split it in half and reduced the width by about half as well. It wasnt that easy to do, but I really wanted to use softgoods for her. The fangs didnt start off as such, they were just bits of plastic - I used an exacto knife to slice them into what now looks like fangs / claws.
After having made Gorneesh and Asha, I think I'll have to continue! I'd like to do other characters from both Ewoks and Droids in realistic form - there are so many great options out there!
