ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
I'm warming up to the Wicket figure, eventhough I'm still upset about them dropping Kneesaa - I think the accessories help the figure to a certain degree, and based on them doing a few accessories from the cartoons makes me wonder if this set was originally intended to be totally cartoon based. The satchel / pouch was both in the cartoon and in the Ewoks tv movies, the green hood is actually based on the second season of the Ewoks cartoon, because he was sporting an orange one in the first season. They are cool accessories, so I wont complain, I just hope Kneesaa finds her way to retail too...
Overall, I think it was nice of Hasbro to give the fans of the old cartoons something to add to their collection - the green hood has never been produced on any figure, so at least its something new - and it combines a ROTJ figure with a cartoon figure, so thats a plus.

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
I think the new Wicket is fantastic! The green hood is an amazing bonus, and one I thought that we would never get. I can't help but wonder if all our Ewoks and Droids questions in the Q&A's had something to do with their decision to make the accessory. Would they have still made the green hood or even have considered making the now canceled Kneesaa if it wasn't for the piles of questions coming from our direction? I'm not so sure...

AAAAA! Okay, now that my fanboy squee is over...I like the new Wicket. Obviously a much smaller sized figure, in scale to the new Ewoks we've been getting. that's nice. He's an all new sculpt, and that's wonderful, actually. I was so sick of them re-hashing and re-tooling that same old '97 POTF II Wicket. Good expression on his face. Cool pouch. And I like the cartoon hood, although I wish it was the orange hood from the much better First Season of Ewoks. Overall, not bad at all. I'll definately be picking up a couple of Wickets this fall. and who knows? Our constant asking/pleading/badgering for new Ewoks could result in the good Princess being released in the next few years. Hasbro does listen to us, and have replied quite favorably to Ewoks lately with even more to come. Yay Wicket!

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
They probably went with the extra green hood because its something that otherwise wouldnt be released - same goes for the pouch, I think they bundled up on accessories because of the lack of Kneesaa. I agree that we need to continue campaigning for her in the Q&A. This figure really is the highlight of the show for us Droids & Ewoks collectors - I look forward to seeing it carded - and on the pegs!

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of him with the green hood on!
Now for future Ewok figures of characters that appeared both in Return of the Jedi and Ewoks, is anyone else hoping that Hasbro will keep including accessories from the animated series? If Ewoks are going to be single carded from here on out, they need to come with some decent accessories! I hope that they could at least do this with Logray, as a way of giving an update to the vintage Ewoks figure. The blue robe would probably need to be made from cloth because of the sleeves, but I'm not sure what they could do about the beard, other than have it attached to the hat. Maybe another idea for an accessory could be a Bordok for the Ewoks to ride. A realistic Kneesaa with Baga the Bordok set would be nice!

Theres a shot of him with the green hood posted by our friends on the Yakface forums:

If you remove the pouch - the hood should fit normally...

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
Here he is with the hood. You're right, they didn't put it on properly. It still would be nice to have a new animated style Wicket, but I'll definitely take this guy!
Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
You know, the more I see of him, the more excited I get. Think about it: It's the first acurate sized Wicket we've got since the old POTF II version. Even Warwick Davis himself said in an interview in Star Wars insider that he still has the old 1983 original ROTJ Wicket and prefers it over the POTF II figure because the POTF one looks too "butch". Lol. Well, maybe we can use the POTF II version as a "grown up Wicket". The new one is special. Look at his legs. I think they pivot outward as well. And it's cool that he comes with his pouch and Belt of Honor. Kneesaa should most definately come out. Logray could come with his crystal image spinner, since that was featured in both the Ewoks animated series and Caravan of Courage. They can make it a top! then it could actually spin. OR...what about the Sunstar Shadowstone? Cool idea huh? And a Bordok would not be out of the question, since Bordoks appear in official cannocal pre-production art. they were going to have the Ewoks ride Bordoks in the movies. There's even a picture featuring a wokling feeding a Bordok calf! So Baga might make it out...

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
Seeing this figure does make me want Kneesaa even more as well - I really hope they find a way to release her. I was thinking of how they could release a new Logray with accessories like this, but I cant really see them adding the blue robe, unless its softgoods and removable - which would be cool. Another idea for a future Logray would be swappable heads, one from ROTJ and another from the TV-movie / animated series sporting a beard...

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
I asked the folks at Hasbro about Kneesaa at the convention and they told me that they will be trying to get her out eventually.

Great! Glad you were there reminding them about one of our Ewoks! I hope it's next year and that she comes with Baga!

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
Kind of disappointed that we didn't get Wicket and the rest of the ROTJ wave here in Canada in time for Christmas. I sure hope this isn't a wave that gets skipped, but wouldn't be totally surprised as it seems that there are always a few waves a year that we don't get at all in Canada. Anyone in USA feel like picking one up for me?
Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
This wave dried up fast at retail here in the states as well, but there should be more case revisions for the rest of 2010 and perhaps into 2011...I've personally only seen Wicket once.

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
Looking allll over Oklahoma for him. I already have one, but because the air in my dorm room was so dry, when I tried to take off his green hood this last time, his belt of honor broke! The rubber was like paper it was so dry and brittle. I'm serious. The air was so dry, some folks we're getting nosebleeds in our building, and our hair was sparking and standing up from the static electricity. I was upset. Anyway, that is in Kansas, and I'm back at home in Oklahoma now. No static or dry air, but no Wicket's here, and I've had family looking too. I bought my best friend one for his christmas gift, and he loves his Wicket. James, we're heading out to Tulsa to shop on Thursday, if I find him, I'll buy him and send him north to you!

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
Awesome! Thanks, I would really appreciate that! Thats terrible about the belt breaking. Are the hoods pretty difficult to remove even in better conditions?
Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
Well, John (my friend) says he's had trouble swapping the hoods out, but he's not so dexterous when it comes to hand/eye coordination, having CP. But even so, yeah, the hoods require some skill to manuever. I was really really careful with mine. Stupid Kansas dryness.

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
I picked up a second Wicket in trade so that I can display him with both hoods - that green hood is indeed a pain to remove, so I didnt want to risk damaged it too. I'm so happy they updated him and gave us both versions of his hood - now I just have to figure out what to do with the old POTF2 version.

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
I finally caved a few weeks back and bought another wicket for $9.00 on ebay. So now i have one with the green hood and one with the orange movie hood. One of my girl friends tried to butcher my green hooded one the other night! Popped off his head and his hands. I told her to please be very careful since the Belt of Honor on my last one broke and I sure didn't want this one breaking as well. She's just viloent and sorta-anti Ewok.
Both Wickets are now on display next to my Raiders of the Last Ark Indy figure.
Use our old POTF Wicket's as "Older adult Wicket." Like after he became a warrior and married his Kneesaa. <3

Re: ROTJ / cartoon Wicket figure
Hey, $9 is the new going rate for vintage figures, now that Hasbro and retailers raised the price - so you got a good deal, not to mention Wicket is nearly impossible to find at retail anyway.
