Favorite SW books and comics?
What are everyone's faves?
Back in the day, my favorite character was Boba Fett, so my favorite comic books were Cam Kennedy's series about the hunter (Bounty on Bar Kooda, Fat Lady Swings, etc.) and Tales of the Bounty Hunters was one of the books I read and reread throughout high school (along with Tales from Mos Eisley and Tales from Jabba's Palace). By and large, I like the books that were written before Ep1 was in the works, but there are a lot of good ones from the prequel era, too.

Re: Favorite SW books and comics?
I've read SW novels from every era, so it would be hard to pick a favorite. Same goes for the comics - I dont read them much anymore, but there have been some great ones. I think my favorite segment of SW books are the 'art of' series that show all the concept art for the films as well as the Star Wars Chronicles books, for which they made one of the OT and PT - fantastic (and massive) books.

I'm enjoying Darth Krayt, of the Legacy Era, from HQ books. Great villain!

I like Heir To The Empire, The Return of The Jedi novelization by James Khan, and my favorite children's book for Star Wars is The Adventures of Teebo: A Tale of Magic and Suspense, by Joe Johnston!

Another book series I really liked when I was younger was the Young Jedi Knights by Kevin J. Anderson & Rebecca Moesta, starting with Shards of Alderaan (because it had Boba Fett in it). After reading all of the ones with the bounty hunters in them, I went back and read all of the others. Good stuff.
Another series I think worth mentioning from my youth was the Goosebumps-esque Galaxy of Fear books. Where else can we see Boba Fett battling a horde of zombies controlled by Dr. Evazan?

Ewoks? My favorite print issue is Marvel's HQ Ewoks #2: Rites of Power. I bought the original HQ, with other nine editions of Ewoks's HQ. It's coming on this month, from Lone Star Comics, Texas, USA.

I'm a pretty big comic book fan and my favorite series of Star Wars is Legacy. 130 after return of the Jedi it is really well written and has good art as well as lots of interesting sith/jedi stuff. If you like the clone wars comics (originally published in Republic) you will probably like Legacy.

Re: Favorite SW books and comics?
My favourite comics would have to be Ewoks and Droids published by Marvel comics Star brand in the 1980's. Big surprise there! Out of the modern comics, my favourite by far was Knights of the Old Republic. I was sad to see that one end. As for books, I haven't read any Star Wars novels in a long time. I read the Heir to the Empire series when it first came out as well as the Jedi Academy series and enjoyed reading them at that time. I think I would have to rank the novelization of A New Hope and Splinter of the Mind's Eye right at the top though.

Speaking of the Ewoks comics, why hasn't there been an Omnibus? The droids omnibus was one of the first they made.

Yes, Legacy is a beautifully drawn and written story, its distant future setting allowed it to move plotlines quicker and take creative risks moreso than most other post-ROTJ material. Another favorite of mine is the classic Tales of the Jedi comics. They have a very retro vibe about them and a great ancient world design in the comics. Also, Droids is phenomenal and captures the lighter side of Star Wars perfectly.
