Custom Ewok figures
I have made a figure of Chukha-Trok by customizing a POTF II Teebo figure, re-tooling his arms, head and hands. I made a sculpy hood (Chukha's head doesn't turn) and belt, and added on a pouch from JaQuille the Whiphid. My friend helped weave Chukha-Troks' breastplate from toothpicks and beading wire. The animal skull on it is sculpey. I made his axe head from sculpey and real wood. I wrapped hemp fiber around it. I love how he turned out! I got the idea from another customizers' website, Owen Driscoll from Owen;'s Customs. I can't sculpt as well as he can, but I'm getting there.
And, just for kicks and because i've always wanted one, I made a greater Endorian Lantern Bird! I made it from a Schliech swan figure witht the tail of a Safari Ltd. microraptor. I cut the tail off the microraptor and shaved the tail down to fit in a slit in the swan's tail. I superglued it in, and added sculpey to fill it out. Then I slowly baked the whole bird till the sculpey was firm. I base coated it with pink sparay paint, 5 coats. Then I just painted it, building up the pink highlights and reddish purple. I put a spot of glow-in-the-dark paint on the tail for the tail pod and a small feather on top of it's head made from a pink pipe cleaner.

I made a Chukha-Trok several years ago, and I have been meaning to update him and make a few upgrades - you should post a picture, I'd like to see your version.

I'm glad we can finally see him - he turned out really nice, great attention to detail. Do you plan on making anyone else from the Ewoks movies?

Re: Custom Ewok figures
I've always liked Deej, Wicket's dad. He didn't have to help those kids, and he knew how dangerous it was. "The giant Gorax lives in a land from which no Ewok has ever returned!" But he chose to befriend and help Cindel and Mace. I want to customize a Deej figure with the white wings, and his hunting knife and horn. I'd even make a miniature map. I've got a couple pony figures, and I'm making faux fur and leather trappings and reigns and blankets. Also I want to make Cindel, as I always liked her when I was a kid.
