I was just curious to know if anyone else is still hunting for original vintage figures - I'm personally looking for an animated Wicket:

and the Comics Spain Kneesaa with the purple flower. I have the original version with the yellow flower (seen on my blog below), but I'm tracking down the variants now:

I know it's kinda cliche' and obvious, but have you tried Ebay or other sources, such as online collector's stores? I've seen the '85 Ewoks series Wicket online on Ebay many times. the question is always the same with most Ewok collectors (Or Star Wars collectors, or any collectors) "How much are you willing to pay for that figure?" Me, Ive had to cut back a lot. Also, you might check out some Euro sites for that Kneesaa varient. However, make sure they take American dollars or have your money translated to Euros. Good luck!

I'm still looking for Yak Face from POTF, Wicket and Urgah from Ewoks and Sise Fromm from Droids. Price is the big obstacle here for me as well. Hopefully I will be able to get Urgah someday, but the others may be out of my price range.

Oh, I check Ebay and all over the net on a regular basis. I actually tracked down Kneesaa once (or thought I did) - to a sci-fi company in FL called the Intergalactic Trading Company. They were charging $20 per Comics Spain figure, but they had Kneesaa with the purple flower pictured, so I figured I'd just order it to get it off my list. Well, after emailing them to confirm - I'm waiting around for a week after I order it, only to get an email from them saying they dont even have the item haha - what a crappy 'company'. From the looks of their site and prices, they arent much more than scalpers.

I've bid on the Ewoks version of Wicket a few times, but I've usually lost it or was outbid. I really dont care about the coin or accessory, because even loose he can go for around $50 with the accessories. I just checked ebay and the last auction for him, with the coin and spear went for $45 - which is more than I will pay for a loose figure. I'd be willing to pay maybe $20 at the most for a loose one without accessories...

If you know of any specific collector sites or euro sites as you mentioned for either of them, please let me know. Wink

After years of seaching for a decently priced vintage Kenner animated Wicket, I found one for only $9.99! Here he is next to a Comics Spain Wicket:

D'awww! I have my two displayed like that as well. Heck, I have an entire dresser top of Wicket display. Smile Glad you finally found him, and at such a low, low price!

ps- Ebay sells replacement spears for animated wicket for only $7.00 if you feel the need to give Wicket his stick-it. Happy Ewok

Good deal! I still need Wicket and Urgah to complete my Ewoks collection. I wish I could find them for that price!

The Wickets I see on ebay are usually a bit roughed up, with paint rubs, etc - so $10 for a mint figure is outstanding, they tend to go for at least double that loose w/o accessories.

I'll track down a spear eventually - $7 for a repro doesnt sound like the best deal, I could probably get an original for the same. The hunt will have to continue when it comes to accessories because I need the one from King Gorneesh and the Dulok as well...

I'm in the process of buying all of the Droids and Ewoks figures. I have all of the prototype figures and am now getting some of the released figures. Two days ago I bought C-3P0 and Sise Fromm. They were pricey but were in mint condition with mint coins. It's kind of a slow process but is a lot of fun getting pieces of my childhood back.

Now that I have the figures from the Ewoks animated line, I'm starting to pick up the original vintage Ewoks that look nothing like their modern counterparts. I'm in the process of trading for Warok and Romba - both of which look very different than their modern figures. I may try to track down Lumat too, depending on how Hasbros version turns out.

I have all the original Ewoks. Not all of them have their weapons, but all are in great condition. I still love my original vintage figures, and Lumat is one of my very favorites. I just really like the character, and his name. Say it with an ewok accent: "Luu-mat!" Cool. Also, look how his arm is curved for holding his bow! No other Ewok has a curved arm like that, makes him very unique. I still like the original Warok and Romba too. Romba's name sounds suspiciously like "Rambo!" Imagine an Ewok with a bandana and a bow that fires explodiing arrows! Grrrr! Warok is Teebo's daddy, and I remember being very excited as a boy, finding him because I'd just read "The Adventures of Teebo."

I just received the vintage Romba and Warok in a trade, and they are in mint condition - I was pretty shocked. I personally like the idea of displaying vintage Ewoks with modern, I dont want them all to be one height. I dont collect other vintage figures, other than the Ewoks and Droids animated lines, but I think the vintage Ewoks have good sculpts and work well in dioramas. Now that I have these, I need to track down a Lumat, I really like how he looks, and its so great that all the vintage Ewoks are unique in sculpt, no sharing parts like modern figures.

Just picked up a DROIDS R2-D2 with coin and a Jord Dusat with coin. Also got all 6 of the EWOKS figures in one shot. All were on crappy cards but the figures, accessories, and coins were mint. You can really find some deals when you look hard enough. Got 4 of the EWOKS figures on bonanza.com. Has anyone else found deals here? I never even knew the site existed until about 2 weeks ago.

Like I said all of the figures were still on the card. I paid:

Jord Dusat - $25
Wicket - $60
King Gorneesh, Urgah, Dulok Shaman - $75 for all
Logray, Dulok Scout - $50 for both

Not too bad.

The other figures I got off of ebay and were a lot more expensive:

Sise Fromm loose w/coin (gem mint condition) - $200
C-3P0 loose w/coin (gem mint condition) - $90
R2-D2 mint on card - $100

Next on the list is Tig Fromm.

Glad I was able to help you with Urgah - your front page updates are great! I got the same feeling when I tracked down the animated Wicket. If I find another Wicket, I'll be sure to let you know. Its great having all the Ewoks figures - I guess I have to start on the Droids line now!
